Replacing the meat with french fries at Burger King. Brilliant! French Fries are the best from BK. I will give tofu a try. As I tell my children I should not judge it until I try it. Famous words from parents as we tell our kids to finish their meal while we snack on chips behind the cabinet doors. I will keep everyone updated each day so you can see how I am holding up. Thanks for the ideas.Mr. Maurerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16334218424446901011noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4850410729928191848.post-64211883772447632032010-01-03T15:37:29.682-06:002010-01-03T15:37:29.682-06:00Super Awesome ideas! Don't knock tofu completely--if you get the super-firm tofu (Wildwood is my favorite brand), cut it up into cubes, and then pan fry it so it's golden brown, it'll hold up nicely when you throw it into a stir fry or fajitas (fry bell peppers and onions cut into strips, then add the pan-fried tofu with some chili powder, lime juice, salt, and pepper). But if tofu is grossing you out, just use beans in the fajitas instead. If you eat a salad for lunch, add some kidney beans, garbanzo beans, or hard-boiled eggs to it to make it more filling. Pasta is super easy to do meatless. You can do all kinds of great soups and have mashed or roasted potatoes on the side and a really good french bread. If you're craving fast food, Taco Bell's 7-layer burritos are vegetarian, and you can order a cheeseburger from Burger King with no meat and just put your french fries on it instead. It's an adjustment any time you make a change in your diet, but it's really easy after you get used to it. Good luck!Jacquelyn Wheelerhttp://www.soterians.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4850410729928191848.post-65704303145517667482010-01-03T13:49:13.271-06:002010-01-03T13:49:13.271-06:00It was quite delicious last night. I always have to get cheese on my fries and I have been obsessed with the Peppermint chocolate chip shake they have been making lately. Plus, the kids eat free and they actually eat there. It is as close to heaven as one can get sometimes.coffeechughttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16334218424446901011noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4850410729928191848.post-30673098136879804962010-01-03T12:45:43.762-06:002010-01-03T12:45:43.762-06:00OH MY GOSH I LOVE STEAK N SHAKE!!! we don't ha...OH MY GOSH I LOVE STEAK N SHAKE!!! we don't have one in new bern, though. we have to drive to winson salem.... sigh.Miss Haleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08530418334294546322noreply@blogger.com
