GETTING IT DONE! - ITBS Cheerleaders and Keeping Your Brain Fresh

This is the time of year when I think that it can be very hard to stay motivated in whatever pursuits one is tackling. With the change in weather moving to the winter phase of seasons to people just being so busy it is hard to stay the course.I know I have had a hard time trying to stay focused on my weight by not eating like a slob every single day. I have slowly gotten back on course, but it is hard. My training is okay which is fine this time of year as it is more about maintenance than improvement.  It is darker longer and that does not help matters at all.

I think it is important to mix things up. Try something new. It does not have to be drastic, but just enough to keep things interesting.

For example, yesterday myself and three other teachers took one for the team and dressed up like cheerleaders for an assembly for our school. Yes, we made a fool of ourselves, but it was fun and not as bad as it seems.

Why don't we compile a list of things people can do to mix things up.
- shampoo your hair with the opposite hand
-take a shower backwards
-draw with your opposite hand
-doodle a bending heart
-run a new route

What other ideas do you have that we could add to the list? Leave them in the comments below

Listen to new music; something totally different than what you normally listen to.

Eat dessert first. ;)
