Book Review: Manga Claus

Manga Claus: The Blade of Kringle by Nathaniel Marunas, illustrated by Erik Craddock

*book acquired from public library
Ages - 9-12
Pages - 80

I loved this book! What a fun read. Why is it a fun read? Well, here are my three reasons for it being so good.

1. Santa Claus wields two swords and does some serious damage
2. Evil ninja teddy bears
3. Clever use of holiday references to tell the story of the North Pole

This is a great read. It keeps the Christmas spirit in mind and does not ruin what the holiday season is all about. At the same time it provides some great action sequences and tells a very entertaining story. How can one go wrong with an elf who uses the X-Mas magic for the wrong things(selfishness) and causes evil ninja teddy bears to storm the factories and other facilities needed to make Santa successful? Check this manga out and I promise you won't be sorry that you did.
